"...but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

The Westwood Day School seeks to meet the interest and needs of each individual student.

We hope to provide for the growth of the child to the best of their ability in all areas - physical, mental, social, emotional, as well as spiritual.

Our school day is planned with a broad range of experiences that are suitable and beneficial for each child: learning to listen, sharing stories, outdoor play, rest, music, science and nature. We balance work and play through group activities and creative practice. Each child has the opportunity to develop the ability to speak easily and fluently. The classroom setting also fosters problem solving skills and independent thinking.

A non-denominational curriculum that teaches through prayer, Bible stories, and Bible songs is used with all Westwood Day School students.

a long history of day school education

Our first class at Westwood opened September, 1961.

We are delighted that throughout the years our church facilities have been used for such a rewarding purpose.

As the boys and girls are aided in their personal knowledge and development, they will also be learning in a community of faith.

In this way, the day school activities take on a broad dimension.
